STREET TRAIN GATTEO MARE SUMMER VILLAGE

Description: it is becoming easier and easier to get around in Gatteo Mare. Even during summer 2026 a street train for children and adults will travel through the streets of the town. Children will get to enjoy a fun ride and adults will be able to move around easily on board of the entertaining convoy. The train runs every day (except for Monday morning and afternoon) from 9.30 am to 12.40 pm and from 3.30 pm to 6.40 pm. In the evening from 8.15 pm to midnight.
The daily route goes through every area of the town and has 13 stops. Starting from Via Verdi, just a short walk from the P1 car park, the locomotive will head to Via Schuman and then Via Trieste to reach Giardini Don Guanella. From here the train will zigzag from viale Giulio Cesare, then through the streets parallel to the sea, meaning Gramsci, Matteotti and I Maggio, then it will go back to Via Schuman to start its ride again.
Furthermore, for those who park at the P1 car park during the day, the street train service is free of charge. This new initiative is designed to make getting to the beach even easier and more sustainable during the summer.

The evening route is shorter and goes along the main streets of the town and will stop only in Piazza della Libertà.
Made by the Gatteo Mare Turismo association, the train tries to be a real “itinerary show” that will allow tourists and residents to completely enjoy and take in the amazing landscape of Gatteo Mare.
The service is discontinued in case of adverse weather conditions.

Entrance: € 3,00 for adults and € 2,00 for children from 1 to 14 years. For babies under 1 year the service is free.
During the day the train is free for guests of the associated structures of Gatteo Mare Summer Village, residents and owners of second homes in the municipality of Gatteo in possession of the App Gatteo Mare Summer Village enabled or of the PVC Card enabled, as well as daily, weekly or seasonal “supporter card” subscribers.

Evening service is charged for all.
