Gatteo Mare is a tourist resort that makes hospitality its hallmark.
All our beaches, our IAT office, the Giardini Don Guanella and various accommodation facilities are accessible to people with disabilities and specific needs, for an unforgettable holiday suitable for everyone.
The Municipality of Gatteo, adhering to the regional project “In Emilia Romagna c’è una vacanza per me“ (In Emilia Romagna there is a holiday for me), has obtained funding from the Presidency of the Council of Ministers, as part of the national notice for the economic support of tourism projects accessible and inclusive for people with disabilities.
The first intervention concerns the enrichment of the supply of aids and equipment specifically dedicated to the use of the sea for disabled people (amphibious chairs, beach chairs, electric lifts, job chairs and an inclusive stand up paddle). The equipment will be made available at the beach establishments and at Lollo’s House in the Giardini Don Guanella.
Also at the Giardini Don Guanella, an inclusive play structure is planned, made of steel, with a slide and platform, complete with the creation of a cast rubber area.

SERVICES ON THE BEACH
Hospitality and accessibility go hand in hand in Gatteo Mare. Even on the beach!
The beach of Gatteo Mare is sandy and the sea water slopes gently, thanks to the rock barriers. All beach establishments allow easy and obstacle-free access to the beach, also offering specific services: parking spaces reserved for disabled people, reserved toilets, removable platform to allow you to reach the shoreline and Job chairs to enter the sea.
Safety is guaranteed by a beach first-aid point equipped with a semi-automatic defibrillator and oxygen cylinders, five lookout towers each equipped with a defibrillator and a sea rescue service activated with rowing catamarans and jet skis.
For any specific requests or questions you can contact the Cooperativa Bagnini or the bathing establishment directly.
