“SgambEuropa” green area is a fenced area where dogs can freely run and play. “SgambEuropa” has both sunny and shady areas and it is provided with benches, bins and a drinking fountain.
You will find this area in the “Zona H” of Gatteo Mare, Viale Europa. Its position is perfect for people coming on foot both from the surrounding streets and from the streets bisected by the railway track : an underground passage sited in Via Forlì links the two parts of the city.
You can also arrive to the area by car; you will find some car parks near there: one is free while the other one (Piazza Ornelli car park) is a cheap pay-and-display park during summer, but it is free during the other seasons.
Furthermore, near “SgambEuropa“ there is a play area for children.
“SgambEuropa” has been created in order to meet the needs of both citizens of Gatteo Mare and the tourists who bring their dogs on holiday with them; as a matter of fact, dogs are more than welcome in many hotels of Gatteo Mare.
“SgambEuropa”, together with the other off-leash dog area called “SgambaGelso” (Via delle Rose, Gatteo) has been created thanks to a PPP (private-public partnership) between the Municipality of Gatteo and Davide Magnani’s “Rubicone Hotel” company which has financed the project.
